Robin Trower - About To Begin

Robin Trower began his career with the Paramounts along with Gary Booker who later formed the band Procol Harum after the Paramounts disbanded to pursue individual projects.
Robin joined Procol Harum after the band's hit A Whiter Shade of Pale was recorded and remained in the band through their fifth album Broken Barricades. By 1971 the disparities in style had became too great and Trower left the band to form the power trio The Robin Trower band with James Dewar on bass and vocals and Reg Isidore (later replaced by Bill Lordan of Sly and the Family Stone) on drums.
The band's sophomore release Bridge of Sighs reached #7 in the United States and is perhaps known as the band's best album.
